FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CLEANER

Q. WHAT CAUSES STREAKS?
A. Streaking can be caused by a number of things. The most common thing is, have you used wax or polish on the vehicle? The build up of these products can cause a thicker layer to form on the vehicle allowing the black streaks to eat into it. Once the cleaner starts to cut through the layers streaks can form. The streaks are the clean bits and the use of a 10:1 solution of cleaner will help speed up the cleaning process.

Q. WHY DO YOU SAY "START AT THE BOTTOM" WHEN CLEANING?
A. To get the best out of the cleaner it is important to keep the area wet and to ensure even coverage. Starting at the bottom and working up helps to achieve this and reduces streaking.

Q. WILL THE CLEANER CLEAN ACRYLIC WINDOWS?
A. Yes. A spray or hose pipe should be used to rinse off dirt, as It is important to make sure that the window is free from dirt and grit before attempting to wipe with a cloth or sponge.

Q. CAN I USE THE CLEANER ON MY CAR?
A. Yes. The cleaner produces excellent results on cars and can be used to remove brake dust from alloy wheels, without damage (no acid, caustics etc.).

Q. WHERE ELSE CAN THE CLEANER BE USED?
A. It is you the customer that has been telling us other uses for the cleaner. UPVC double glazing, patio furniture, conservatories, greenhouses, barbecues, stains in clothes and carpets (as long as they are colour fast), a 1/4 thimble full in the average car windscreen washer bottle to keep the windscreen clear (note-does not contain antifreeze).

Q. DO I NEED TO WEAR GLOVES WHILE USING THE CLEANER?
A.
Not normally. Unless you suffer with any skin conditions there should be no need for gloves.

Q. WHY ARE THERE GREY BLOTCHES ON THE HATCHES?
A. The problem is caused by what appears to be a virus, this consists of grey blotches around the hatch which cannot be removed. It only seems to attack the hatches with the rough finish e.g. toilet door and battery hatch, it may be just a result of poor materials and exposure to ultra violet light.

Hatches can be best cleaned by using a toothbrush. Dip the toothbrush into the bottle of cleaner (or make up a 10:1 solution in a spray bottle), work it into the hatch. Allow to stand for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, run the toothbrush over the area once again (no need to add more cleaner), then rinse off. This will remove any dirt, grime, green etc.

Q. CAN I USE THE CLEANER IN A PRESSURE WASHER?
A. Yes. The dilution needs to be about 200:1 at the lance end, give the cleaner a bit of time to work before washing off. If you have a soap dispenser, add about 2-4 capsfull to the dispenser and fill with water, this should be about right. You can add more cleaner if required. The Motorhome Cleaner is better suited to pressure washers as it is faster acting, but good results should be obtained using the Caravan Cleaner as long as sufficient contact time is allowed (30sec to 1 min).

BOBBY DAZZLER

Q. CAN I USE IT ON MY CAR?
A. Yes. Bobby Dazzler is ideal for cars, as it enhances the shine and provides protection from the rain, spray, salt etc. Unlike the caravan / motorhome the dilution should be about 1 cap to around 2-3 gallons (9-13 litres).

Q. WHY DO I GET WHITE DEPOSITS AFTER USING BOBBY DAZZLER?
A. Bobby Dazzler is very concentrated and goes a very long way. If too much Bobby Dazzler is used white deposits may be noticed on the vehicle when dry. Rinsing with clean water or next time it rains will remove these deposits. When you rinse off use less Bobby Dazzler, to avoid leaving deposits.
Do you live in a hard water area? as this will also cause streaks.

Q. HOW DO I KNOW IF BOBBY DAZZLER IS WORKING?
A. While rinsing off with Bobby Dazzler in your rinse water, you will see dry areas appearing as the water is chased off, this is usually more noticeable on the windows and flat surfaces. Road spray will tend to form small droplets on the vehicle and rain water will bead and run off, also the shine will be enhanced.

OVERWINTERING

Q. DO I HAVE TO USE THE WHOLE BOTTLE IN ONE GO?
A. No. Overwintering will cover up to 50sq meters, so mixing half of the bottle with 2ltrs of water and then applying using a spray will not only ensure a more even coverage, but make the product go further. You can always mix more.

Q. DOES THE VEHICLE HAVE TO BE DRY BEFORE APPLYING THE OVERWINTERING?
A. Yes. Allow the van to dry or leather the worst off, otherwise the overwintering will run off without coating the vehicle.

Q. CAN OVERWINTERING BE APPLIED IN WET WEATHER?
A. No, the Overwintering needs time to dry to prevent it from being washed off, so do not apply when rain is forcast.

Q. HOW LONG DOES IT NEED TO DRY?
A. Overwintering needs about 2 - 3 hours to dry.

Q. HOW DO I REMOVE IT IN THE SPRING?
A. A 10:1 mix of water to cleaner will remove the Overwintering.

Q. IS IT ADVISABLE TO AVOID CONTACT WITH WINDSCREENS?
A. Yes. Due to the waxy nature of the product, it may cause some smearing on the windscreens of motorhomes. Any areas effected can be washed over with a solution of the cleaner diluted 10:1.
